SommPair mobile application and related services.
By using SommPair, you agree to the collection and use of information in

1. Information We Collect
Account Information
To use SommPair, you must sign in using Apple Sign In or
Google Sign In. We do not support usernames or passwords.
We receive limited account information from these providers, such as your name,
email address, and a unique account identifier. We do not receive or store your
Apple or Google passwords.
Photos and Content You Provide
When you use SommPair, you may upload photos of wine bottles and related content.
- Uploaded photos are stored securely using Firebase and Firestore on Google Cloud infrastructure.
- Photos are associated with your account to support features such as saved bottles and collections.
- Photos are retained until you delete them or request account deletion.
App Usage Information
We may collect limited usage information to improve app performance and
reliability, including app interactions, crash reports, and device or operating
system information.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and operate the SommPair app
- Identify wine bottles and generate insights
- Save your scanned wines and preferences
- Improve app functionality and reliability
- Respond to support and privacy requests
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI Processing
SommPair uses artificial intelligence to analyze wine labels and generate tasting
notes, pairing suggestions, and other insights.
- Photos and text you submit may be processed by AI systems to provide responses.
- AI outputs are informational only and may occasionally contain errors.
- Your personal data is not used to build advertising profiles.
4. Data Storage and Security
Data is stored using Firebase and Firestore, which operate on
secure Google Cloud infrastructure. We use reasonable administrative, technical,
and organizational safeguards to protect your information.
No system can guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data
appropriately.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to
provide app functionality.
You may delete individual photos or request full account and data deletion by
contacting us.

7. Third-Party Services
SommPair relies on trusted third-party services, including Apple Sign In, Google

SommPair is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on
this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
